From the Hawaiian "aloha", which means "hello/farewell", and the Latin "mora", which means "obstacle".

A fairly basic spell used to open locked objects. We first saw it in the first book when Hermione used it to get into the room that Fluffy was guarding. She had also used it to unlock the window of the tower where Sirius was being held captive in the Prisoner of Azkaban.
