Squibs in society
In modern wizarding society, Squibs are seen as second-class citizens, even by those who consider muggle-borns and the like as normal wizards and witches. As could be predicted, they are treated with contempt by most pure-bloods, who would not believe that Squibs deserve to be treated like normal people.
Most parents who produce Squibs would try to integrate them into muggle society, to save them the pain of living as second-class citizens. However, some Squibs remain a part of the magical world, such as Argus Filch, the caretaker of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
