The Quidditch World Cup is the most prestigeous tournament for all Quidditch players to play in. It was held for the first time 1473, and is held every four years. In the first final, Transylvania and Flanders were the competitors, and all the 700 known fouls in Quidditch were commited.
 1994 Quidditch World Cup
In 1994 Quidditch World Cup was held in England. The hosts were knocked out early in the competition, and the last teams standing were Ireland and Bulgaria. The Bulgarians were sporting their young star Seeker, Viktor Krum, who caught the Golden Snitch during the match. However, the rest of the Bulgarian team hadn't played too well, and the final score was 170-160 in the favour of Ireland.
 The Death Eater attack
Shortly after the celebrations had started, a large group of Death Eaters attacked the campers who had come to see the match. However, there were Ministry workers in place, who tried to keep the Death Eaters away. Suddenly, the Dark Mark appeared in the sky, making the Death Eaters run away.
