Potions is a subject taught at Hogwarts. Potions is the teaching of mixing ingredients to create a liquid with added properties, that can be used for both positive and negative effects. Each year new potions are learnt, and tests are carried out to see what has been learnt, with the level of OWL's determining if you can continue to NEWT level.

Potions are liquid drinks which when concocted may give you extra powers, change your appearance, do things you wouldn't normally do and many more. Potions are usually made my mixing different ingredients in and stirring so many times counter clockwise or clockwise.
