Eileen Prince is a character in the Harry Potter Universe.
|Eileen Prince Snape|
|Affiliation||Hogwarts Gobstones Team|
As with most minor characters, her background is not very clear. What is known is that she was a skilled Quidditch player, as she was captain of Hogwarts Gobstones Team. It is also presumable that she was born during the early 1930s.
Eileen is first mentioned in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince; Harry's new Potions book was earlier owned by someone who called themselves the Half-Blood Prince. Hermione found an old article from the Daily Prophet about a young girl named Eileen Prince. She meant that Prince could be the previous owner of the book, as the book was seemingly bought fifty years ago. Harry laughed and said he just had a feeling that the Prince was a guy.
In the end of the book, after Dumbledore is dead, Hermione once again talks about Eileen Prince. She has found out that she was at least a little right in her earlier statement. She had found another clip about Eileen Prince, about her marriage to a Muggle named Tobias Snape and the birth of her baby, Severus.
- The name of the librarian at Hogwarts, Irma Pince, has raised some discussion. If the letters of her name are rearranged, it becomes "I'm a Prince". Many fans claim that she is actually Eileen Prince in hiding. The way she looks in the movies also agrees with the way she is described in the books. However, this has not been confirmed.
