|Blood||Half-Blood or Pure-Blood|
Blaise Zabini is a fictional character from the Harry Potter Universe.
Blaise Zabini is a half-blood or pure-blood wizard born in late 1979 and early to mid-1980. He attended Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry the same year as the famous Harry Potter and was Sorted into Slytherin House. He is an accomplice of Draco Malfoy, Vincent Crabbe, Gregory Goyle, and Pansy Parkinson. He was invited into Horace Slughorn's Slug Club on the Hogwarts Express and attended several or most of his parties. Not unlike any other stereotypical Slytherin, Blaise was not very fond of Muggle-borns and blood traitors.
 The Philosopher's Stone
Blaise is first mentioned in Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. He attended Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry the same year as Harry Potter, Draco Malfoy, etc. and was Sorted into Slytherin House during the Welcoming Feast. After this mentioning, Blaise wasn't seen much in the books until The Half-Blood Prince.
 The Half-Blood Prince
Blaise is mentioned for the first time since the first book in his sixth year. He shared a compartment with Draco Malfoy, Vincent Crabbe, Gregory Goyle, and Pansy Parkinson during the ride on the Hogwarts Express to Hogwarts. During the ride, he was invited into new Potions master Horace Slughorn's compartment for Professor Slughorn's interest in how Blaise's beautiful mother had been married seven times, each of her husbands somehow dying, leaving her with magnificent fortune. He made a fake cough when Slughorn commented on how Harry Potter, who was also in the compartment, must have extraordinary powers.
After the meeting in the Slug Club compartment, Blaise returned to his compartment, unaware that Harry was trailing him beneath his Invisibility Cloak. When he informed the other five in the booth that Ginny Weasley had also been invited by Slughorn and was asked by Pansy if she was good-looking, he coldly replied that he "wouldn't touch a filthy little blood traitor like her whatever she looked like."
 The Deathly Hallows (film adaptation)
Although Blaise is not directly mentioned in the seventh book, he will play a major role in the film adaptation of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2. When Malfoy enters the Room of Requirement while Harry, Hermione, and Ron are inside, his cronies will be Blaise and Gregory Goyle rather than Vincent Crabbe and Goyle. While Crabbe is the one who is killed in the Fiendfyre in the books, Goyle will be the one who is in the movie, and Blaise will be hit by Hermione's Stupefy. The reason for this switch-up is that the actor for Vincent Crabbe, Jamie Waylett, was sentenced to 120 hours of community service and therefore could not return for his role in the second part of the seventh movie.
